Welcome back, comic fans. Your Pal Dennis here, still alive after attending my 35TH SAN DIEGO COMIC CONVENTION! Hope you were able to make it to the madness this year. There was fun, frivolity, famous people galore. Be sure to read your monthly Previews Magazine to get the scoops you might have missed out on. DARK HORSE COMICS

  • HELLBOY—IN THE CHAPEL OF MOLOCH: He's back! No, not just the Demon in Red, but his creator as well. That's right, Mike Mignola returns as writer AND artist in this new Hellboy one-shot.
  • SOLOMON KANE: R.E. Howard's iconic demon hunter returns to the comic world in this adaptation of his unfinished Kane novel, Castle of the Devil, adapted by Scott Allie and Mario Guevara.

ONGOING SERIES:

  • GEARS OF WAR: This new series starts with a story that fills in the gap between the first GOW game and the new Xbox 360 release!
  • UNKNOWN SOLDIER: The bandage-wrapped spy from the early wars gets a face lift for the new millennium. It's 2002 in Northern Uganda, where war is waged by 12-year olds with AK-47s. Doctor Moses Lwanga tries to wage peace, but soon finds himself caught in the center...being told how to fix the country by a voice in his head. Writer Joshua Dysart spent time in Uganda researching this project.

  • SPAWN #185: Spawn continues to push towards #200, bringing new surprises on the way. Starting with this issue, Todd McFarlane and Whilce Portacio share the art chores. That's right—Todd's drawing Spawn again. Surely one of the signs of the coming apocalypse...
  • WALKING DEAD—THE COVERS: It's one of the main selling points of a comic. If the cover doesn't capture attention, chances are you'll never pick up the book. Kirkman's zombie epic delivers the up-front goods month after month. This book collects the images from the first 50 issues, along with sketches and commentary on the art by Kirkman himself!
  • WALKING DEAD—THE CALENDAR: Keep those busybodies and Nosey Nellies out of your office cubicle by posting this calendar, featuring 12 of the most heart-stopping, flesh-rending images from The Walking Dead.
  • DNAGENTS: One of my favorite comics from the 1980s makes its return in this collection. Featuring all 24 issues, this oversized B&W trade captures the fun and spirit of the early independent publishers—in this case, Eclipse Comics. Story by Mark Evanier, art by Will Meugniot.
  • CYBLADE: Winner! Winner! Cyblade won last year's "Pilot Season" competition and here's her prize—her very own solo series! Finally free of Cyberdata's control, Dominique (Cyblade) Thiebaut must now find out who she is underneath her assassin's skin.
